International college of Chongqing Jiaotong University (ICCJU) was founded in March 15, 2011.As the key college of the University, International College is privileged to effectively carry out major programmes of international cooperation and exchanges.

International College follows the educational concept by having its teaching mode, speciality offer, curriculum design, career criteria and employment means internationalized. By absorbing international sophisticated educational concepts and theories, and by availing itself of educational resources of high quality in the world, International College mainly assumes the following duties: educating domestic and international students, exchanging students with universities or research institutes from other countries, running language training courses and issuing professional certifications, and conducting undergraduate programmes with joint efforts with foreign counterparts. The college’s objective is to cultivate professional talents of international vision and general adaptation, mastering professional skills in respective fields.

While maintaining the traditional superior educational resources of Chongqing Jiaotong University, International College innovates the traditional educational mode, makes full use of our disciplinary superiority, and introduces the original curriculum and teaching materials in English. Part of the core courses will be delivered in person by teachers sent by the partner universities. All these deeds largely guarantee education quality of international standard. So far seven programmes, namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics＆Information Engineering, Logistics Management，Engineering Management, Tourism Management and Arts Design has opened to recruit students since September of 2011, with the total student population of 904.Other than that, diploma degree Chinese-foreign cooperation programmes ofMarine Technology and Marine Engineering Technology co-operated with University of Tasmania, and undergraduate Chinese-foreign cooperation programmes of Machine Design Manufacturing and Automation co-operated with Northumbria University and Civil Engineering co-operated with London South Bank University, the four programmes are about to formally enroll students in 2013.

International Collegehas been actively engaging in international cooperation and has achieved a lot.Up to now, academic links have been established with universities or scientific institutions from more than 30 countries or regions, to name a few, University of Tasmania in Australia, Northumbria University and London South Bank University in England.

International College employs innovative management mode and invites teaching staff and pools educational thoughts from around the world to form Expert Consultation Committee and Professor Committee. We embrace student-oriented as our educational principle. Self-management and self-service is advocated here. Students are encouraged to get involved in social practice and international communication, which will ultimately contribute to their growth.

ICCJU puts a lot of efforts on language training in order to providea smooth pathway to study abroad. TheLanguage Training Centre of CQJTU runned by the College engages in a variety of language trainings. We are actively exploring cooperative channels in order to ensure dual degrees issued by CQJTU and the foreign counterparts if they successfully complete all the study. For those who cannot go aboard to study, they can continue to receive their internationally advanced education at ICCJU, also they will receive a academic certificate and degree from CQJTU upon completion of the required credits.
